In the book of Daniel, King Nebuchadnezzar is denounced by astrologers. They say he should be thrown into a blazing furnace for worshiping an image of gold. But what does this image represent? It represents human rule and humans treating that as if it's God,. And so it's very dangerous. Human history shows us this is extremely dangerous when human beings mistake the life they have created with God itself.
