'Harold and the Bull's Eye'

There are a bunch of competing and contradictory versions of this story. Even scandinavia got in on the fun, with king harold saga mentioning it. i think that harold probably did make that crossing, but probably not because he wanted to go fishing or visit wales. Instead, i suspect that this probably did have something to do with duke william's hostages. The monk was likely referring to the philactory of saint pancras, which is featured in the so called hyde chronicle.
