I Don't Want to Be a Consultant, but I Want to Change the World

I've never been a consultant. And the main reason is because of this question, which is that when someone hires you for business advice, there's no guarantee that tyou're going to take it. What i have found again and again is that what people really want is to do what they're doing, but have it work better. It turns out that if we want to change the outcome, we're going to have to change the imputs. If you don't have answers to those questions, it really doesn't pay to hire a consultant at all.
