The Importance of Issue Meetings in Evangelicalism

Issue meetings have been terribly crucial, wonderfully crucial, for helping the elders to develop a common mind on the tougher topics. I've used Modern Books by David Platt and Al Moller and Russ Moore; Divided By Faith by Christian Smith and Michael Emerson. So there's more work that goes into these issues and then they have their own allotted time for two or three or four hours of conversation. Right now we're going back and forth between teaching on our statement of faith and teaching through my book The Church.
