Insecticides - Is That a Good Idea?

Insecticides cause suffering, but if you could kill them painlessly then things would be different. I do think we should extend much more consideration, even to insects than we currently do. And so it does seem more plausible with our selected invertebrate like insects, that they could have neutral to net negative welfare. Not guaranteed, but possible, right? In which case all the benefits and harms on their head.
