The Importance of a Preliminary Report
Preliminary reports are often being copied and then pasted into the patient's notes. When finalised report comes back they're quite contradictory, says Dr Hodge. So from that point forward, when that was raised, we decided to favour putting an actual addendum at the bottom of the report. "We've taken the approach of just trying to make the fact that this is an interim report as obvious and hard to miss as possible," he adds.
