The Importance of CT in the Treatment of Stroke
This year they recommend that brain imaging occurs immediately with a non-enhanced CT so like you say in patients suspected acute stroke if any of the following applies. Even if those things don't apply then you should still get one done within 24 hours. So essentially you're doing a CT head on everyone. But that's part of the issue isn't it with CTs is that or the part of the good element with CT although you talk eloquently about the challenges of sensitivity, they are easy to get and pretty cheap. And that is why CTs are recommended I think more than MRIs which might have a higher sensitivity but they take a long time to do and they're really difficult to
