The Power of Poetry

Ross: Poetry is a little incarnation, giving body to what had been before invisible and inaudible. I think it moves us to write well, not to write well so that we can put things in a certain way which would be a magical formula for bringing others to faith. Francis Schaeffer was very careful when he talked about artistic endeavor and saying that what we produce is not attract, but it's art that's based on truth. So as a poet that moves me to make my poetic work as rich and as free and as full and as powerful and as beautiful and as authentic as I can possibly manage.
