The Wind Is a Critical Item at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
It's questionable that Molly and Arthur don't replace Ron's wand because they think it's like a punishment, you know, for him or whatever. He should have just been like, we said, give me one. Dumbledore could have taken Ron's wand and repaired it using the strength of the elder wand - which we know repairs Harry's own wand in the last book. I almost wonder if it's looked upon as being the punishment for what he's done. That's cruel though. Maybe the author just really liked the puns, spello tape, which is very fun.
