The Role of Neurons in Major Depressive Disorder
In some ways, this may be a neurodegenerative or neuro-progressive illness like we think about schizophrenia or even bipolar disorder. The motivation here to go beyond monomeral means is that the monomerular drugs, they ain't so hot, they didn't work so great. But also, this new generation of treatments we're talking about have more rapid onset of action. And that can be very important.
