John's Gospel and the Body of Christ

I think we have to kind of step back and think about how John's gospel works on its own so there's a lot of tendency to try and sort of harmonize and make it fit with the gospels. I think we're better off kind of putting the other gospels to the side for now although I might come back to them in a minute. This text needs to be read in the context of other discussions about Jesus's body and what Jesus's body does in John's gospel.
