iPad Screen Protectors - Are They Worth the Tradeoffs?

Some people say screen protectors destroy the light color vibrancy of the screen. Others say it makes the screen feel less interactive, like you're touching glass on top of a thing that then clicked a thing and it just didn't feel nearly as direct. For me, it's never really been a problem for me. I'm able to tap and swipe and type on the screen without any like complaints or whatever.
