Science Podcast for Kids - Data Sonification
Dr. Amy Bauer is a senior scientist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. She converts data to sound so that more people can experience science and be a part of it. The ears and brain work together differently in such a way that they can perceive patterns in the data that the eyes can't see. This material is based upon work supported by the National Science Foundation under grant number 2148711, engaging blind, visually impaired, and sighted students with storytelling through podcasts.
