The Myth of the Buddha
In the ancient world, the gods were rarely regarded as supernatural beings with discrete personalities. Technology was not about theology in the modern sense, but about human experience. There was initially no ontological gulf between the world of gods and the world of men and women. By the time of the Buddha, people still had a very different experience of the world than we do today. It's like they lived to the myth that was their experience.
