Open science is designed for accessibility and inclusion, but it's subject to the same cleakishness and exclusionary practices that greater society is. So i think we need to be really mindful about how we approach both data science and open science to make them kind. I think the cores of both data sciences and open science is that we need good people taking leadership rolls in both fields. Both can benefit from each other if they're led in a humanist direction.
