Aristotle's Philosophic Writings

Aristotle was pro this world and they respected him. They had steel swords that they thought to crusades with, the Europeans were fighting with iron. We embraced Aristotle because of the work of Thomas Aquinas who synthesized made an uneasy peace between Aristotle and Christianity. The Reformation strangely, another irony, was a rebellion against Aristotle back to Plato and the Augustinians. Martin Luther, for instance, said, reason is the devil's whore. Well, reason was what brought us the Renaissance. Reason is what Aristotle reintroduced into Western, into European thought. It was the pro-reason era.
