Is There a Difference Between Generative and Andrown?

I'm particularly interested in the intersection of andrown work and generative work. One thing that i like to investigate is how to mix those two. I feel quite comfortable working in a purely generative way, but since i do have a really strong drawing and painting background,. i'm looking for ways to mix the two because that's also under explored, in my opinion.
