How Does the Brain Make Decisions in Uncertain Environments?

The emergency mind project is trying to understand how the brain makes decisions in stressful situations. It's possible that this question is like way too big to approach which case will dissect it a little bit. But what do we know from a neuroscience perspective about how the brain make decisions under these like, I don't know, medium stressful conditions? Yeah, I mean, let's even go back a step further and say sort of how does the brain make decision and then add in whatever amount of stress might do just because I think that'll give us a framework.
