If you are at a smaller company, I think you need to basically advocate for it. As a developer, your boss who the marketing department isn't going to come to you and say, hey, how do we need to come up with some SLOs? It's up to you to fight for this stuff. You'll be helping everyone else on your team. And that's what Jay Z did by the way. He basically said, hey, we need to get these builds. We need to automate these deploys so that we have testing environments. We have all this kind of stuff."
