The Influence of the British Empire on Caribbean Education
The influence of the British Empire in shaping Caribbean education afforded Caribbean parents who came to Britain a sense of Britain as another home. They anticipated that British schooling would be better, but that the structure of schooling would be the same. So their children with better facilities should fare well; they had to learn over time that that didn't work out quite well for their children.
