The Impact of Fake News on Investing
The FCA has said in the past that this could be a problem. Do you think we are being pushed into extremes with our approach to risk and the way we approach our finances as well as in other parts of life? We talk quite a bit about older people who are approaching retirement and becoming more risk averse, hoarding cash and so forth. And on average we are seeing people holding more cash than they would otherwise have been able to afford. But it's not good for their long-term financial health if they're taking too much risk now.
