Using a Generator to Generate Solutions

The problem of solving a simple algebraic equation. One could use a generator that would produce numbers which could then be tested by substituting in the equation. We would not call this an intelligent generator. It's just basically just as good as randomy trying the alternate o its brute force. So let me say it again, can't be random.
