Is There a Career Shift in Pediatrics?
When my kid was little, they had to have a hernia repair and minor thing. The surgeon said if the kid wasn't, if this was an adult, they would need to be down for two weeks. And I thought it was just an interesting thing of kind of talking about,. Well, what that pediatric surgeon was getting at was, well, adults think about it too much. They start to perseverate on their symptoms. Every last little twit or a little negative symptom, it's just kind of amplified. But often, yeah, the outcomes can be really positive, particularly in an acute setting.
