Fauci's critics never give any sort of concessions that when a country was going through this massive dislocation, very nervous pandemic, economic uncertainty, all these kinds of things, the president of the United States was not at all reassuring. I mean, like so many institutions, the need not to blame Trump created imperative to blame other people 10 times as much. And he allowed himself to get, he listened to his biggest fans too much, which is one of the most poisonous things you can do in public life.
