Is This Just Another Battery and Lithium Ion Goes On?
Lithium metal could be used to replace lithium ion batteries in the next 10 years. The process is not rocket science, it's just a matter of getting better characterization equipment and manufacturing efficiencies. It would take three years or more to make 1,000 tons of lithium metal per year but if you get there by 2026 then we're going to need lots of battery electrodes.
