LZ Granderson: Code switching is not just what people do or say. It's how they're heard and who with the history of the people that are listening brings to the conversation, he says. LZ: The challenge we run in higher education is people have six notions of what is correct,. What is a mistake, what is an error? And as I'm doing that, who am I leave out of the audience? Who am I leaving out of the conversation? So this has to do about acquiring academic skills. But it has a lot to do with belonging and the ways that we create community"
