The Future of the US Innovation Economy?
Innovation and progress is highly unpredictable. It's hard to tell where exactly break throughs are going to come from, or what form they're going to take. We need a kind of diversified portfolio of experimence that means we can try all kinds of difrent things. You know, I am like certain classes in school: you get that sort of thing when there's a strong social consensus around what's going to work - but it doesn't have to be the case with start ups.
