And so it is as Frederick Douglass said, those who want change without struggle are like folk who want crops without having to plow up the ground. The point is true justice, a true humane and compassionate society does not happen overnight. Progress does not happen as Dr. King said inevitably. It happens because people are dogged and determined to work passionately to work lovingly.
