What Happened to the Editing Process?

The pair wrote the book and a course at the same time. The transcription was full of little asides and private jokes, and we just got off topics. We actually ended up writing quite a lot of stuff we hadn't even talked about because it came up in the writing process. So let's talk about the editing process. How did you go through that that was an intriguing process?
