How Much Will the Government Support Heat Pumps?
Energy efficiency is among the top three most important factors for buyers. A heat pump can cost between 7,000 pounds and 13,000 pounds to put in. The government has pledged £6.6 billion towards domestic energy efficiency during this Parliament. But that still leaves the bulk of funds to be found. Some think wealthier households could be offered lower cost credit to fund improvements through better green mortgages.
