The Quantitative Aesthetic of Culture
I think quantitative aesthetics represents a set of very powerful and intimate pressures on people that are woven into the texture of culture. In terms of art and culture in the sense of cache or cool, I do think there's a migration away from this kind of culture. There's a real movement back toward niche cultures. A lot of hunger for small, more locally sourced culture. And I don't think we're getting rid of social media anytime soon.
