Is Meditation Designed to Remove Thoughts?
meditation is not about trying to crush your thoughts, it's about observing them as they pass through you like an itch. When i did my first ten day retreat, i was boiling with rage for seven days straight. I wanted to kill everybody, and myself included in the monkeys that were jumping on tops of the roofs,. I was not good at meditating. Don't know many people who are just like natural, born meditate. You get better at meditating by practising it rather than expecting a blissful state. Most of the big changes in my psyche have been because of a base of meditation.
