In our modern downstream of the bifurcation between Langenlit and Lewis, it seems weird to think why would a philologist be like a good storyteller or order? But going back before that, it's like, if you know how to use words, then you ought to be able to use words well in telling stories. That's really fascinating that those two came together in in Geys like Lewis and Tolkien. And the fact that they were split apart is pretty sad, though I think I think it happens in a lot of disciplines.
