The Resigned to Run Act in Florida

In Florida, they currently have this law, it's basically resigned to Ron DeSantis. He would have to resign his position as the governor and he hasn't done that. Right now there is a sweeping package that's making its way through the floor. buried within it is essentially what I would describe as aRon DeSantis addendum. It essentially says this section does not apply to persons seeking the office of president or vice president of the United States. The Senate in Florida this upcoming week is going to vote on whether or not Ron deSantis will be exempted from the resigned to run law.
