Aristotle was fixated on the idea that every virtue is the mean between two vices so courage is somewhere between like cowardice and fool-harniness okay you know and I don't know how that fits here a fair stuttles virtues perfect just in case something like this were to arise. He also said if you're happy when other people suffer then you should be upset when they suffer but only the right amount because if you're too much then you could be envious of their success. Aristotle's 12 virtues are sort of the list of how to be a good upper-class person in 300 BC Athens as he was teaching his class at the Academy.
