Dominant Figure Still Scares the Hell Out of Me
When you talking to somebody, realize you're not talking to that person, you're talking to everybody in the company. You have to represent the people who are not in the room. Bill campbell was opera level at really understanding people. When i was running loud cloud, i we did this big deal to kind of get out of what would have been a business that took us bankrupt by selling the services component to e d s and then kind of becoming a sofware company. But none of that would have happened if i had gone to new york, like it was that important a moment and he could see it.
