Is This Son Worth More to You Than Me?
God tested, or proved abraham. The hebrew word for testing is nasa and it's the same word used for when a blacksmith proves his steel. This isn't a temptation, it's a proving. And god's going to see what sort of man abraham is now at the end of his life. In the process, he's going to ake abraham into a stronger, more faithful covenant partner.
