In the 1970s, one of the biggest movies of this time came out in 1970 and it was called Love Story. In their courtship, one character calls the other Preppy repeatedly. How can you see me and still love me? That's what it's about Preppy. It kind of reminds me of when like hipster was going around in the early aughts.
