He spent 22 years in exile and was attacked by gunmen when he returned to kenya with his wife after two thousand four years. His book decolonizing the mine came out in 19 86 but has been translated into many African languages. Rasa asks him if there are any regrets about not being able to teach africa's young people how to write their native language.
