i'm just curious, what does john calvin say about matthew, that passage out of matthew that he just uses as a quote for many? Well, let's actually look at it. He says, the word many is not put definitively for fixed number, but for a large number. And in this sense, it is used in romans five 15, where paul does not speak of any part of men, but embraces the whole of the human race. They are using out of context. The best scholars that know anything about their original languages understand that the word many can connote the concept of all. This is why we're doing what they're doing, ladies and gentlemen
