The Difference Between Offline and Real-Time Effects in Audacity

Before, adding an effect such as a delay or a reverb was done offline. Now you can enable the real-time effects panel which appears on the left of the waveform. It turns it into a proper digital audio workstation rather than a sort of souped up wave editor. This is the single thing that I've been complaining about in Audacity for 10 years.
