Hegel's Dialectic Is a Tool of Transformation
The point of the dialectic is to make things complicated so that you can sit on top and tell people what they are by mixing together opposites in a way that don't make sense. Hegel framed this out as the idea of abstract and negative combining into something more concrete, which is actually by what he means. What he means though is a more complex understanding. A thing that takes into account more of the causes.
