Survival rates are higher for penetrating injuries ans. cardiac injuries undergoing edith orcotomy, there's been some literature that have survival rates of 17 % in pooles studies,. and up to 35 % for single stab cardiac wounds. Another study that showed any signs of life in the hospital carries 11 to 12%.
