If you look at the genetic structure in pakistan, it looks indian. There's a lot of clustering and a lot of differentiation. Aus, officially, moslems don't have cast right? So the maintenance of caste within moslem society has tended to be within indian Moslems with local indigenous roots. Whereas the international cosmopoliton, they cal the asraf alite, who have connections to uran ind central asia, tend to be genetically more mixed. They tend to preserve their central asian or iranian heritage too, with like, taboos against intermarriage with natives. It's just that, you know, they want to remain lighter skinned
