What Do You Think of the Women's Prize?
Looking back the role call of winners and nominees, it's like a who's who of contemporary fiction is it? Alice Smith or Jim and Mandarin Diji or Marilynne Robinson. What effect has the prize had, do you think, on the literary landscape and readers? Well, in a way, I should ask that question back to you because if your huge experience of interviewing and doing all of these things, you see all of it. And I'm always very careful to not make claims for the prize that we couldn't substantiate.
