What Is So Unusual About This Manuscript?
It's so frustrating that there's so much unusual about this book, except anything that we could test would tell you anything about it. When the Jesuits, their library was consolidated in 1873, threadedly all the private libraries were consolidated of the religious orders and they weren't allowed to keep fancy manuscripts or nice manuscripts. So I have a feeling that at that point they took off whatever cover might have been on this and just stitched on the plainest, it's called Limp Vellum. And what he ended up doing was essentially making up words in Greek and then translating them into Latin. But he could never get the library to pay for it.
