i think mc gallan makes a pretty good case that frank zappa and vito policus are actual inventors of the hippe aesthetic. He owned like a sculpting studio or something, like an art studio in west hollywood near the sunset strip. And he had this gaggle of young women, and i guess was very into doing ot of elust and having orgies and stuff like that. A lot of people credit him with basically get filling the clubs like the whisky agogo. The bird andke were just like vibing off of these dancers and things like that. They were actually kind of real musicians as no different from stephens or david crosbie.
