The Impact of the Tokugawa on Japan

The Tokugawa didn't necessarily exclude all the international relations, but they controlled them. They were a very strict control of the border and who can enter and have contact with Japan. Even internally, they controlled traveling inside the country as well. It wasn't easier to travel freely around Japan during the Tokugawa. But they also didn't eradicate Christianity as they always portrayed the Dutch and the Bararebelli in their history.
