How to Differentiate Between Cardiogenic Shock and Obstructive Shock

The differentiation of shock into skin temperature and the warm and wet, cold, etc. was such a revelation for me when I started doing critical care. The three key things that you need for a bedside approach to a patient that you suspect is in shock are really going to be a skin exam, paying attention to the pulse pressure and the diastolic pressure. And with these three things, it can really help you determine the differences between the four different kinds of shock.
