i realized first of all, that because of globalization trade with china and low wage countries, this was going to be extremely deflationary for the united states. But i also saw from what was happening asia that their economic booms were driven by their trade surpluses,. As the trade surplus money went into their banks, their banks were able to lend many times more than they would have been able to under normal circumstances. That created extraordinary credit bubbles. And then all the pieces came together, and it became pretty clear that the same thing was going to happen in the us.
